Situated in DuPage County, Lombard is a northern Illinois village with a population of almost 44,000 residents according to the 2010 census. Lombard is located about 21 miles west of Chicago. The area in which the village is located was originally inhabited by Potawatomi Indians and was later settled by European-American immigrants in the 1830s.

Individuals who are both living and visiting Lombard will not find a lack of things to see and do in the village. The village hosts many community events such as the annual Lilac Parade. The parade is estimated to attract more than 55,000 spectators. The village also hosts many other events throughout the months of summer. A fourth of July fireworks extravaganza is hosted by the city. Many local vendors and entertainment are featured at the extravaganza. During the months of winter Lombard hosts both a tree lighting event in the village’s downtown and a light festival at Lilacia Park.
